My Passion Project
For the past two weeks we have had a chance to work on a passion project. A passion project is when we have to chose a topic that we are really interested in. I chose Melanie Adele Martinez because she is my favourite singer and I love her.

Week 4 reflection
This week we are learning to use addition to solve subtraction. We have had your big cross country I didn't go but I hope the people that did go do well. This week we also made a colour poem, cinquain poem, acrostic poem, and a nonsense poem. Here is my nonsense poem.
What does a didgeridoo?
Unicorns
Live under umbrellas
Foxes
Fiercely flew
Polar Bears
Poo peanuts all day
But what does a didgeridoo?
Tigers
Drink tea with their buddies
Griffins
Do great poo
Bats
Buy bananas on Tuesdays
But what does a didgery,
What does a didgery,
But what does a didgeridoo?

Acrostic Poem
WALT: learning to write Acrostic poem
Acrostic Poem
*The first letters of each line are aligned vertically to form a word.
*The word often is the subject of the poem.
Elegantly and efficiently shaped
Good to eat
Great fun to find at Easter
Smooth shelled
Colour Poems
WALT: learning to write color poems.
Black is a dark wintery day
Black is cold
Black is scary
Black is thundery clouds
Black is ready to rain
Black is how I feel in a thunder storm.
In this poem, you can see the writer uses black as a colour that reminds them of a storm ready to break. The writer is telling us they are scared in storms and that black to them is a scary colour.
The other poem you can write with colour is a five senses poem. So, pick a colour again and use it at the beginning of each line in your poem but this time, only use it to describe five different things.
In this senses poem, you can tell the writer loves spring and the outdoors. The writer is telling us that green reminds them of things they would do in the outdoors on a warm spring day. Each of the five senses is represented.
White
White is the colour of dandelions blowing in the wind
White feels like fresh cotton against your skin
White tastes like cold vanilla ice cream on a hot day
White sounds like white water running in a river
White smells like fresh vanilla cupcakes straight out of the oven
White looks like a white horse in a stable
Green
Green is the colour of freshly cut grass
